ALUMNI
SOCIETY
Honoring the Sing Africa alumni from Daystar University whose 1996 prayer vision became AFLEWO in 2004, and everyone who has carried that sound across Africa since.
Birthed from Sing Africa
Sing Africa began in 1996 at Daystar University as a student prayer and worship movement. By 2003 its alumni had scattered into churches and careers. That year they came back together around one conviction: unite the body of Christ in Kenya through corporate worship. In 2004, that conviction became AFLEWO. They did not know they were launching a movement.
What began as a gathering of roughly 6,000 people at CITAM Karen has grown into a movement reaching churches across Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda. Thousands of alumni now carry the AFLEWO name into their own churches and communities.
